Westchester has a lot of restaurants that serve brunch. That’s not the same as having a lot of great brunch spots. We’ve eaten our way through the county — bottomless mimosas, prix fixe tasting menus, French toast that costs more than it probably should — and narrowed it down to 18 places that are genuinely worth your time.

We organized these by vibe instead of town, because nobody picks a brunch spot by ZIP code. You pick based on what kind of morning you want to have.

When you want the full experience

These are the spots you save for birthdays, promotions, or the kind of catch-up that deserves cloth napkins. A few of these also make our list of best date night spots in Westchester.

X2O Xaviars on the Hudson — Yonkers

Three-course prix fixe brunch with unlimited prosecco and cocktails, $48 per person. The dining room sits on a pier over the Hudson with views of the Palisades, and the food matches the setting. This is where you go when someone in the group has news.

Moderne Barn — Armonk

A converted barn with high ceilings and enough natural light to make everyone look good in photos. Westchester Magazine named it Best Celebration Restaurant for 2025, and the outdoor seating in warmer months is hard to beat.

Crabtree’s Kittle House — Chappaqua

A Westchester institution in a historic inn with one of the best wine collections in the state. The vibe is old-money Westchester in the best possible way — relaxed but polished. Sunday brunch only, so plan ahead.

Bedford Post Inn — Bedford

The drive up to Bedford is half the experience. The inn sits on a quiet country road, and brunch here feels like you left Westchester for the English countryside. The food is elevated without being fussy. One of those places where you linger for two hours and don’t feel bad about it.

When the weather cooperates, these spots make a strong case for staying in Westchester instead of going into the city.

Half Moon — Dobbs Ferry

Floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the Hudson. The brunch package includes a first course, a second course, and complimentary bubbles. The raw bar is worth exploring if your table is into seafood. Come early enough on a Sunday and you’ll catch good light off the water.

Red Hat on the River — Irvington

One of the most photographed views in Westchester — you can see the river, the Cuomo Bridge, and on a clear day, the city skyline to the south. The terrace is the move in warm weather. French and Italian influences on the menu.

3 Westerly Bar & Grill — Ossining

This one’s a sleeper. It’s a modern American restaurant inside a freestanding lighthouse on the Ossining waterfront, right next to the Metro-North station. Multiple outdoor areas, all with Hudson views. The fact that it’s train-accessible is a real plus if your group is coming from different towns.

Greca Mediterranean Kitchen — White Plains

A three-level Greek-Mediterranean restaurant on Mamaroneck Ave with unlimited Bellinis, mimosas, and Bloody Marys at brunch. The tsoureki French toast (made with Greek brioche and candied walnuts) is a standout. The interior is striking — genuinely photogenic without trying too hard. Free valet parking at the Opus Hotel across the street.

Fortina — Armonk

Breakfast pizzas, Nutella French toast, and bottomless mimosas. The wood-fired oven is the centerpiece, and the energy in the room is buzzy without being overwhelming. The Rye Brook location runs the same brunch if that’s closer.

Saint George Bistro — Hastings-on-Hudson

Chef-driven, ingredient-focused cooking with a menu that changes daily. Sunday brunch only. The housemade pastas are the draw, and the desserts are hard to say no to. It’s an intimate neighborhood restaurant, not a scene — which is exactly why people love it. Michelin-recognized.

Nonna Carola — Mamaroneck

Elevated Sicilian food in a white-tablecloth setting that somehow still feels relaxed. The back-deck patio is tucked away from Mamaroneck Avenue — quiet, almost hidden. Burrata ravioli, brick-oven pizza, and the kind of truffle pasta you think about later.

Most of the buzz in Westchester brunch is mid-county and north. But south county has options that get overlooked, especially if you live closer to the city line.

Alvin & Friends — New Rochelle

Southern and Creole cooking with live jazz on Sundays. The brunch menu runs shrimp and grits, chicken and waffles, and a crab cake Benedict. The jazz starts around noon and the room fills up fast. This is one of those places where you go for brunch and stay for three hours because the music is good and nobody wants to leave. BYOB on Sundays, which keeps the bill reasonable.

Underhills Crossing — Bronxville

A neighborhood bistro on Pondfield Road in one of the prettiest downtowns in Westchester. The menu leans New American with seasonal dishes that change regularly. After brunch, you can walk the village — good coffee shops, a bookstore, and the kind of streets where wandering is the point.

Lola’s Mexican Kitchen — New Rochelle

If your group wants chilaquiles and mango margaritas instead of Eggs Benedict and mimosas, this is the move. Mexican brunch with a strong cocktail program. The space is colorful and loud in a good way. Portions are big. The huevos rancheros and the breakfast burrito both do what they are supposed to do.

Purdy’s Farmer & the Fish — North Salem

An 18th-century farmhouse next to its own four-acre working farm. The food is genuinely farm-to-table — not the marketing version, the actual version. Michelin-recognized. The drive up through North Salem’s horse country is beautiful, and there’s a farm shop on-site for provisions. Bring a cooler.

Ruby’s Oyster Bar & Bistro — Rye

Seafood-forward brunch on Purchase Street in downtown Rye. The lobster frittata and Eggs Benedict lineup are both strong. After brunch, the whole group can walk the street — Rye’s downtown is one of the best in Westchester for shopping and wandering.

Southern comfort food — Nashville hot chicken, fried green tomatoes, pimento cheese — with a rooftop bar that has solid views. The energy is fun and a little loud, which works when you’re with a group. Not the place for a quiet catch-up. Definitely the place for a birthday with ten people.

• Basso by PXK — No-menu Sunday brunch for $42. An endless parade of pasta, meat, fish, and risotto, all prepared tableside. You don’t order. You just eat.

Before you go

A few things we’ve learned from doing this a lot:

• Reservations are non-negotiable at most of these spots, especially on Sundays. Book at least a few days out. For X2O, Moderne Barn, and Bedford Post Inn, book a week out or more.
• If you’re doing bottomless brunch, designate a driver or plan for a car home. Some of the best spots (Greca, Fortina) have free or cheap parking but you probably shouldn’t be using it.
• Go early. 11 AM gets you better light, shorter waits, and more relaxed service than 1 PM.
• The river towns (Dobbs Ferry, Irvington, Hastings, Ossining) cluster well. If one spot is full, you have options within a 10-minute drive.

Do most Westchester brunch spots take reservations?

Yes, and you should make one. X2O, Moderne Barn, Crabtree’s Kittle House, and Bedford Post Inn all book up on weekends, especially for parties of four or more. Resy and OpenTable cover most of them. For more casual spots like Fortina or Freebird, you can usually walk in, but expect a 20-30 minute wait after 11 AM on Sundays.

Where is the best bottomless brunch in Westchester?

Greca Mediterranean Kitchen in White Plains runs a bottomless deal on weekends with mimosas and bellinis. Freebird Kitchen in White Plains also does bottomless on Saturdays and Sundays. Prices range from $25-40 per person for the drink package on top of your food order. Most places cap it at 90 minutes.

Which Westchester brunch spots have outdoor seating?

Half Moon in Dobbs Ferry has a deck right on the Hudson. Red Hat on the River in Irvington has a patio with water views. 3 Westerly in Ossining overlooks the river too. Moderne Barn in Armonk has a large outdoor terrace. In warmer months (roughly May through October), most of these open their patios, but call ahead because weather closures happen without notice.

At the high end (X2O, Bedford Post Inn, Kittle House), you are looking at $40-60 per person before drinks. Mid-range spots like Saint George Bistro, The Cookery, and Nonna Carola run $20-35. Casual places like Fortina and Freebird are $15-25 per person for food. Add $12-18 for a couple of cocktails at most places.
