We’ve spent a lot of time in robes in Westchester. Some of it was great. Some of it was a $200 lesson in reading Yelp reviews more carefully. So here’s our honest take on the best spas in Westchester County, organized by what you’re actually looking for.
When you want the full spa day experience
These are the places where you block off the whole afternoon, put your phone in a locker, and actually decompress.
Oasis Day Spa in Dobbs Ferry is the one that keeps winning Westchester Magazine’s “Best Day Spa” award, and it earns it. Fifteen treatment rooms across a bright, modern space at 50 Hamilton Street, with a rooftop garden you can hang out in between treatments. A 60-minute massage starts around $125. They do everything from HydraFacials to hydrotherapy, and the staff doesn’t try to upsell you into oblivion. Open daily 9 to 8, which means you can actually go after work without rushing.
Tranquility Spa on Central Park Ave in Scarsdale is the biggest spa in the county with 21 treatment rooms. That size means you can almost always get a same-week booking, which is rare for the good places around here. They have separate locker rooms with steam rooms and showers, so you can show up, change, and make a real day of it. Swedish massage runs $145 for 55 minutes. Deep tissue is $180. Not cheap, but the full-day packages bring the per-treatment cost down. Worth it for a birthday or girls’ day.
The Opus Westchester (formerly The Ritz-Carlton Spa) sits on the ninth floor at 3 Renaissance Square in White Plains, and yes, the views are as good as you’d expect. The 10,000-square-foot space has a heated indoor rooftop pool, his-and-her saunas, steam rooms, Japanese soaking tubs, and a relaxation lounge. A Spa + Pool Day Pass starts at $150 before you add any treatments. The 90-minute body treatments run around $220. It’s a splurge, but this is the closest thing to a resort spa day without leaving the county. You don’t have to be a hotel guest to book.
When you want a luxury spa without the luxury price tag
Not every good massage needs to cost $180. These spots prove it.
Facelogic Spa in Mount Kisco (145 Kisco Ave) has cracked the code on affordable facials in Westchester. They hold a “black diamond” HydraFacial rating, which is the brand’s highest certification. Monthly membership facials start at $49. Even without membership, their elite facials are around $89. The catch? It’s more of a treatment-focused setup than a lounge-and-linger experience. You’re not getting a robe and slippers here. But if you want genuinely good skincare work at a price that doesn’t make you wince, this is it.
Spavia Day Spa in Thornwood (988 Broadway) does a solid job of splitting the difference between affordable and upscale. The space feels like a proper spa, not a strip mall operation. They run spa packages that make the math work for a full afternoon without breaking $200. Good option if you’re organizing a group.
Massage Envy in Rye Brook (158 South Ridge Street) gets eye rolls from spa purists, but hear us out. Members pay around $69 for a 60-minute massage, and the introductory session is $59. There are four locations across the county. The quality depends on your therapist, but when you find a good one, you can request them every time. It’s not glamorous. It is consistent and affordable, and sometimes that’s exactly what you need on a random Tuesday.
Relaxation Spa in Mount Kisco (153 E Main Street) does traditional Chinese reflexology, and they do it well. Walk-ins welcome. A foot massage runs about $40. No frills, no ambient music playlist, no cucumber water. Just good, firm reflexology from people who clearly know what they’re doing. Open until 9 PM most nights.
The med spa rundown
Westchester has a lot of med spas. Like, a lot. Here are the ones we actually trust.
Greenwich Medical Spa has a Scarsdale location at 1132 Wilmot Road. They’ve been ranked among the top 50 med spas in the country, and the Scarsdale office reflects that. Diamond Glow, IPL, injectables, body sculpting. The consultations are thorough without being pushy. They’re closed weekends and Mondays, so plan accordingly. If you’re new to med spa treatments and want somewhere that will actually explain what you need versus what they want to sell you, start here.
Youtherapy Medical on Central Park Avenue in Scarsdale is led by Dr. William Greenberg and does strong work with Botox, fillers, and CoolSculpting. Their signature Youtherapy Facial with microdermabrasion is $160. CoolSculpting runs about $500 per applicator, which is competitive for the area. The vibe is more medical office than spa, but the results speak for themselves.
Her Secret MedSpa in Mamaroneck (444 E Boston Post Road, Suite 103) is a good mid-range option with transparent pricing, which is refreshing in the med spa world. Express facials start at $125 for 30 minutes. A laser hair removal package of six sessions for a large area is $599. They’re open Saturdays until 2 PM, which helps if weekdays don’t work for you.
Haus MD in White Plains (2 Greenridge Ave) positions itself at the luxury end of the med spa spectrum. Injectables, facials, lasers, body sculpting. The space itself is beautiful. You’ll pay for the experience, but the work is precise. Good for anyone who wants their Botox appointment to feel more like a spa visit and less like a doctor’s office.
Park Avenue Medical Spa in Armonk (575 Main Street) is a premier CoolSculpting provider, led by Dr. Anca Tchelebi. They also do PRP hair restoration, Botox, fillers, chemical peels, microneedling, and laser treatments. More of a northern Westchester option if you’re up that way and don’t want to drive down to White Plains or Scarsdale for every appointment.
The green and specialty spots
Balance Day Spa in White Plains (280 Mamaroneck Ave, Suite 310) is the only certified green spa in Westchester County. Every full-length facial is 75 minutes standard and includes a peel, extractions, lymphatic drainage, a lip treatment, and massage. That’s a lot of value packed into one appointment. They’re closed Mondays, Thursdays, and Sundays, which is a scheduling puzzle, but worth working around.
Le Petite Spa in Croton-on-Hudson uses all organic, vegan botanical products. Facials start around $115 for 60 minutes. It’s a small space on Route 9A that feels more like visiting someone’s very well-appointed home than a commercial spa. If synthetic ingredients bother you, or you just prefer a quieter, less corporate experience, this is a great pick.
The resort experience (without the airport)
Castle Hotel & Spa in Tarrytown sits in a 100-plus-year-old castle on a hilltop with Hudson Valley views. The Sankara Spa is 8,000 square feet of steam rooms, whirlpools, relaxation lounges, and a private VIP treatment room. A note: the spa has had some inconsistent hours recently, so call ahead before making the drive. When it’s open and operating fully, it’s one of the most memorable spa experiences in the county. The setting alone is worth it. Couples treatments here are a solid anniversary move.
The Korean spa situation
We get asked about this constantly, and the honest answer is: there isn’t a Korean-style jjimjilbang in Westchester County. The closest options are SoJo Spa Club in Edgewater, NJ (about 45 minutes from most of Westchester, worth the drive, bring a book for the outdoor pools) and Spa Castle in College Point, Queens. Both are full-day affairs with saunas, hot and cold pools, and Korean scrub treatments. If you haven’t done a Korean spa day, put it on the list. Just know you’re leaving the county for it.
A few practical tips
Book mid-week if you can. Tuesday through Thursday appointments are easier to get, and some places run mid-week specials that make a real difference. Always ask about package pricing before you book individual treatments. Most spas drop the per-treatment cost by 15 to 20 percent when you bundle.
If you’re planning a spa day with friends, call ahead for group availability rather than booking online. Smaller spas especially will work with you on timing and sometimes pricing for groups of four or more.
And bring your own flip-flops. Trust us on this one.
