If you live in Westchester and you haven’t been to a farmers market yet this season, you’re running out of excuses. The county has more than a dozen of them running from spring through late fall, and a few that go year-round.
We put together a list of every farmers market in the county so you can find one near you. Most run Saturday mornings, some on Sundays, and a few pop up midweek. Bring cash for the smaller vendors and your own bags — you’ll thank yourself later.
The big ones
Pleasantville Farmers Market
Memorial Plaza, Pleasantville
Saturdays, 8:30am–1pm (late June through mid-November)
One of the largest in the county. Dozens of vendors, live music most weekends, and a prepared food section that makes skipping breakfast beforehand a smart move. They also run a holiday market in December.
Ossining Down to Earth Farmers Market
Spring & Main Streets, Ossining
Saturdays, 8:30am–1pm (May through December)
A good mix of produce, baked goods, and local meat. The location along Spring Street gives it a neighborhood feel. Accepts SNAP/EBT, which not every market does.
Hastings-on-Hudson Farmers Market
Maple Avenue at the commuter lot, Hastings
Saturdays, 8:30am–1pm (May through November)
Smaller than Pleasantville but the vendors are solid. Good cheese selection, seasonal flowers, and a rotating lineup of food trucks.
Irvington Farmers Market
Main Street, Irvington
Sundays, 9am–1:30pm (June through November)
Walkable from the train station. Strong focus on local and organic growers. Worth combining with a walk along the Old Croton Aqueduct trail, which runs right through town.
By town
Tarrytown / Sleepy Hollow
Patriots Park, Tarrytown
Saturdays, 8:30am–1pm (June through November)
Right next to the river. The bread vendors here are especially good.
Larchmont
Metro-North commuter lot, Larchmont
Saturdays, 9am–1pm (June through November)
Compact but well-curated. Parking is tight — walk or take the train if you can.
Peekskill
Bank Street, Peekskill
Saturdays, 8am–2pm (June through November)
Northern Westchester’s biggest option. The area around the market has good coffee shops and galleries if you want to make a morning of it.
White Plains
Court Street, White Plains (Downtown)
Wednesdays, 8am–4pm (July through November)
A midweek option, which is rare. Smaller selection but convenient if you work in White Plains.
Chappaqua
Chappaqua Train Station
Saturdays, 8:30am–1pm (June through November)
Croton-on-Hudson
Municipal Building parking lot
Sundays, 9am–2pm (select dates, May through November)

Farm stands worth the drive
Not technically farmers markets, but if you want to go straight to the source:
Harvest Moon Farm & Orchard — North Salem
Pick-your-own apples in the fall plus a farm store open most of the year. About 40 minutes from central Westchester but the drive through the back roads is half the point.
Stuart’s Fruit Farm — Granite Springs
Another pick-your-own spot with a farm stand. Popular with families on fall weekends.
Hilltop Hanover Farm — Yorktown Heights
A working farm with a produce stand and educational programs. They do community composting too.
Tips
Arrive early if you want the best selection. The popular vendors sell out by 11am, especially for baked goods and pastries.
Bring a cooler if you’re buying meat, dairy, or anything that needs to stay cold — especially in July and August. The car ride home in a hot trunk does no favors.
Most markets accept credit cards at a central tent (you buy tokens), but cash is still easier for smaller vendors.
If you go to the same market regularly, you’ll start to recognize the vendors and they’ll start to recognize you. It sounds small but it genuinely changes the experience. You’ll get better recommendations and sometimes first pick of what’s coming in next week.
