Community Standards

The values that make Club West a place worth being.

Why these matter

Club West exists to connect women across Westchester through real friendships, shared experiences, and mutual support. These standards protect that space for everyone — members, moderators, and the women who haven’t joined yet.

By joining Club West, you agree to uphold them.

1. Respect is the baseline.

Disagreement is welcome. Personal attacks, name-calling, mocking, condescension, passive-aggressive behavior? Not welcome. Critique ideas, not people. If a conversation gets heated, step away.

2. No discrimination.

Racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism, targeting someone based on religion, immigration status, or national origin will result in removal.

3. Sensitive topics require care.

Politics, current events, and social issues are fine when you’re sharing public resources, safety information, or community-relevant updates. But they require good faith and willingness to listen. If a thread turns into personal attacks or ideological scoring, moderators will close it.

4. Gossip and call-outs are off-limits.

Publicly calling out another member, venting about a specific person (even without naming them in an obviously identifiable way), stirring up conflict about something that happened at an event or in DMs? Take it to a moderator privately, not in a public channel.

5. Support the moderators.

Mods volunteer their time because they care about this community. If a mod asks you to move a conversation, drop a topic, or adjust your tone, that’s not censorship. That’s someone doing unpaid work to keep this space functional. Mods reserve the right to put a kick, ban, and/or put user in timeout if they do not adhere to the rules of Club West. They also reserve the right to delete any messages and/or reactions that do not adhere to the rules of Club West.

6. Stay on topic.

No spam. No self-promotion outside designated channels. Use channels for what they’re meant for.

7. Participation in any event is voluntary and at your own risk.

Club West, its founder, and affiliated partners are not responsible for any personal injury, loss, or damage during any event.
