Best Date Night Restaurants in Westchester County (2026)

Date night in Westchester doesn’t have to mean the same three places you’ve been going to since 2019. The county has a real restaurant scene now — some spots have been holding it down for years, others just opened, and a few are worth the drive to the quieter corners of the county you probably haven’t explored yet.

Here are the restaurants we keep hearing about from Club West members and the ones we think deserve more attention.

Worth getting dressed up for

Goosefeather — Tarrytown

Vietnamese-inspired dishes from chef Dale Talde inside the Tarrytown House Estate. The setting is gorgeous — a historic mansion with a patio that hits different in warm weather — and the food is bold without being fussy. The crispy imperial rolls are mandatory. Go on a weeknight if you can; weekends book up fast.

La Cremaillere — Bedford

French fine dining that’s been a Westchester institution for decades. La Cremaillere in Bedford is the kind of place where the meal feels like an event. White tablecloths, a wine list that goes deep, and food that takes its time. Not cheap, but for an anniversary or a birthday, it delivers.

Underhills Crossing — Bronxville

A Bronxville staple that does contemporary American with real technique. Underhills Crossing keeps things seasonal, the wine list is well-curated, and the room is intimate without being cramped. If you live nearby and haven’t been, you’re missing out on one of the best meals in southern Westchester.

Mulino’s — White Plains

Italian done the old-school way — big portions, even bigger flavors, and a dining room that makes you feel like you’re somewhere important. Mulino’s in White Plains has been a go-to for special occasions for years, and the consistency is part of the appeal. The osso buco is the move.

New and worth trying

Posto 22 — New Rochelle

Westchester Magazine named this one of the best date-night spots in 2026, and it’s easy to see why. Posto 22 in New Rochelle does modern Italian with a menu that changes often enough to keep regulars interested. The cocktail program is solid too. New Rochelle’s dining scene has been on the rise, and this place is part of the reason.

512 Bistro — Briarcliff Manor

A new American bistro in Briarcliff Manor with burgers, steaks, pasta, and a proper bar. 512 Bistro is the kind of neighborhood spot that feels like it’s been there forever even though it just opened. Good for a casual date or a night out with friends when nobody wants to overthink the restaurant choice.

La Maison Bronxville

A French bistro and cafe in Bronxville that brings a little bit of Paris to the village. The menu is straightforward — think steak frites, croque monsieur, good wine — and the space is charming without trying too hard. Perfect for a weeknight dinner when you want something nice but not a whole production.

Odo — Tuckahoe

A smaller spot in Tuckahoe that’s been getting attention for its tasting menu approach. Odo is Japanese-inspired and detail-oriented — the kind of place where each course is deliberate and the chef is clearly thinking about every plate. Book ahead; it’s small and fills up.

The waterfront and the drive-worthy

The Sea Fire Grill — Yonkers

Waterfront seafood in Yonkers with views of the Hudson. The Sea Fire Grill does fresh fish simply and well, and sitting by the water on a summer evening is one of the best date-night settings in the county. The raw bar is a good place to start.

Pour — Mount Kisco

A wine bar and restaurant in Mount Kisco with a menu built around whatever’s good right now. Pour is the kind of place where you can share a few small plates, work through a bottle of something interesting, and spend three hours without noticing. The staff knows wine and they’re good at steering you toward something you’ll like.

Cenadou — North Salem

French country cooking in North Salem, which is about as far north as Westchester goes. Cenadou is a BYOB spot (save on the wine markup), the portions are generous, and the drive through horse country is part of the experience. Call ahead — the hours can be limited.

Wine bars for a lighter night

Buleria Tapas & Wine Bar — Tuckahoe

Spanish tapas, a solid wine selection, and a weekend brunch that’s become a local favorite. Buleria in Tuckahoe is great for a date that doesn’t need a three-course structure — order a bunch of small plates, split a bottle, and let the night go wherever it goes.

Aperti — Scarsdale

A small, intimate spot in Scarsdale doing pizza, charcuterie, and select wines. Aperti is ideal for friends and casual dates — the vibe is relaxed, the food is simple but good, and the space is cozy enough that it feels like you found somewhere nobody else knows about.

Shiraz Kitchen — White Plains

Technically more of a sushi-and-wine spot than a traditional wine bar, but Shiraz in White Plains earned a Michelin Bib Gourmand for a reason. The sushi is excellent, the atmosphere is upscale-casual, and it’s one of those places that works for almost any occasion.
